Chatham Oaks - Iowa City

Chatham OaksChatham Oaks, Inc. is a private, non-profit agency that offers both residential (RCF) and supported community living (SCL) services to individuals with a chronic mental illness.  Services can be provided to individuals 18 years and older from any county or state if they meet the admission criteria and funding is approved.

Chatham Oaks is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of the individuals served.  Chatham Oaks staff monitor both physical and mental health needs, assist in securing necessary services and offer skill building opportunities so each individual can achieve their highest potential.  Our goal is to improve the quality of life and enhance the self sufficiency of each individual in the chosen environments of their lives.

Successful Living - Iowa City

Successful LivingSuccessful Living is a non-profit organization serving persons 18 years and older who are chronically mentally ill. We help individuals find their path to mental health recovery. Our program encourages the development of skills and support which are vital to living fully and independently in our community. Services at Successful Living are one-to-one, including hands-on training in areas such as: budgeting, housing, education, communications, socialization, self-care, nutrition, meal planning, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.

Since its inception in 1998, Successful Living has been helping clients who are affected by mental illness build better lives for themselves. Successful Living is tireless in its efforts to provide access to services and resources for its clients, and supports their recovery in powerful and compassionate ways as they work toward life goals, individual and shared.

REM IowaSince 1979, REM Iowa has provided quality services to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other complex challenges. We also offer services for adults with brain injuries and provide a range of programs, including residential services and day and vocational programs. Our personalized approach maximizes each person's unique efforts to learn, grow and thrive in the communities they call home. REM Iowa is a partner of The MENTOR Network, a national network of local health and human services providers offering an array of quality, community-based services across the country.

In our Host Home program, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
live in private family homes with dedicated caregivers who we call Mentors.
