MARLIN'S SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS, INC. (MSI) is an Iowa Private Investigative Agency located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Established in 1994, MSI offers a wide variety of Investigative Services for Attorneys, Insurance Companies, Businesses and Private Individuals. Although we are located in Cedar Rapids, we work with clients all over Iowa including Iowa City/Coralville, Dubuque, Cedar Falls/Waterloo, Bettendorf/Davenport, Des Moines, Ames and other surrounding cities. MSI also works with clients on a national basis depending on the case.

Our Investigators are licensed, bonded and Insured. (The State of Iowa requires all Private Investigators be licensed by the Iowa Department of Public Safety). Over one thousand cases have been worked over the years, providing the necessary knowledge and experience to work successfully in a multitude of situations with various degrees of difficulty. State-of-the-art video, camera and computer resources are used to meet most investigative requirements.

Jeff Marlin, a former police officer is owner of MSI and has over 20 years of investigative experience. Mike Marlin, a retired Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Special Agent has over 40 years of investigative experience. Mike is currently retired from MSI but remains on as a consultant.
