QuikTrip makes a pretty darn good soft pretzel.
Never having tried one from QuikTrip before, I did a review of their regular, salted pretzel a few months back.
QT does the classic justice, brushed with butter and nicely salted, the pretzel hit all the notes you're looking for, the golden brown, lightly crispy exterior, the soft, fluffy interior, and a very pleasant chew.
So with that good experience in mind, today I stopped in my neighborhood QT and ordered a Parmesan Pretzel.
It was tasty, I like it over the classic salted pretzel. Brushed with melted butter and then sprinkled with a heavy dose of Parmesan, the combination of that soft dough and the cheesy goodness delivers a really nice umami bite, as in, didn't want to put it down munchable!
Available for $2.99, I'm giving the QT Kitchens Parmesan soft pretzel 5 out of 5 Bachelor on the Cheap stars. It's a great snack, reasonably priced, and worthy of a repeat buy. Giving the pretzel offerings you might find at the mall, airport, or a state fair a run for their money, I'll have to try the cinnamon and sugar pretzel next time I stop in my neighborhood QT.
