Does Your Home Need Exterior Repairs?

Apply for a forgivable loan program

If you need assistance paying for exterior home projects, the City has funds available through the Iowa Economic Development Authority to help qualifying Coralville homeowners.

Forgivable loans provide up to $25,000 per home for exterior projects like new siding, roof, gutters, exterior doors, windows, and more.

Utility Rate Increase Begins July 1

Increases go into effect July 1, 2022, for water and solid waste rates. The changes were approved by the City Council following a review and public hearing in February.

A water rate increase will allow the City to finance significant planned water system and capacity improvements, and a solid waste rate increase will help fund increased operating costs and compensate for lower values for recyclable materials.

Leave the Fireworks to the Pros

If you are thinking about shooting off fireworks, think again. It is illegal to use fireworks in Coralville (unless you are an insured operator approved by the City). Fireworks cannot be used in many surrounding communities as well.

If you want to see spectacular fireworks, there are great options locally, including Coralville's 4thFest fireworks on July 4 in S.T. Morrison Park
