Arthur Flowers arrested for murder by Cedar Rapids Police

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – Saturday evening at approximately 6:06 pm, Cedar Rapids Police Department officers were dispatched to 1029 10th Avenue SE for a medical emergency. Arriving officers were directed to the upstairs bathroom where an unresponsive adult female was located suffering from what appeared to be blunt force head trauma. The adult female was pronounced deceased at the scene by Area Ambulance personnel. A male at the scene, who originally called 911, was transported to the Police Department where he was interviewed. As a result of the investigation, Arthur Flowers, 62, was arrested for Murder – 1st Degree, and transported to the Linn County Jail.
This is an active, on-going investigation.

This lady was not the first woman to die in this house in 2020 a 911 call to this same address caller claimed a herion overdose but the medical examiner said she died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Arthur Flowers made that call also.
