Cedar Rapids, IA – Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation is hosting a special tea, Tea and Remembrance: 1918, commemorating the 100th anniversary of “The Great War,” WWI, on Sunday, November 11 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at Ushers Ferry Historic Village, 5925 Seminole Valley Trail NE. Participants will learn what life was like on the battlefield and the homefront from letters an Iowa veteran, serving in France, sent to his family in Maquoketa and Cedar Rapids. They will listen to music and enjoy tea dainties from the period.
