Frosty’s Winter Wonderland to be held at Northwest Recreation Center December 9

Cedar Rapids, IA The Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department and Macaroni Kid are hosting the 8th Annual Macaroni Kid Family Fun Day and Xmas Expo, “Frosty’s Winter Wonderland,” on Sunday, December 9 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Northwest Recreation Center, 1340 11th Street NW. Parents are invited to shop from multiple vendors while their kids play and enjoy many activities and crafts, face painting, bouncy house, giveaways and a visit with Santa. Bring your cameras! Admission is $2/adult and $1/youth (age 17 & under). All proceeds go to the Northwest Recreation Center to support youth activities in our community. 

Those attending may vote for their favorite snowman, built by local businesses. The winning snowman will receive the Frosty Award and an advertising package worth $1000 from Macaroni Kid Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. Anyone who votes will be entered to win a grand prize and other prizes just in time for Christmas. Those who would like to be a vendor or sponsor a snowman for the contest, should email charlottel@macaronikid.com. 

Parking is limited at the Northwest Recreation Center. Those attending should wear warm clothing in case they need to walk from the street. For more information, contact the Northwest Recreation Center, 319-286-5731.
