Guitar Lessons Offered at Northwest Recreation Center

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department offers guitar lessons for adults and children ages 9 and up at the Northwest Recreation Center, 1340 11th Street NW. The classes are taught by Ken Arnell and guitars are available for use at the center if needed.

Intro to Guitar is for beginners ages 9 and up. Classes are held Mondays, September 17 through October 22. Lessons for ages 9-15 years (program #218301-01) meet from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and lessons for ages 16 and up (program #218301-02) meet from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The fee is $73 residents, $81 non-residents.

Guitar II is an advanced guitar class for ages 9 and up. Completion of Intro to Guitar is recommended. Lessons for adults and for children (program #218302-01) will be held Mondays, September 17 through October 22 and meet from 7:30-8:30 p.m. The fee is $73 residents, $81 non-residents.
