Inbound and outbound Westport Plaza and inbound Night Oakcrest routes to detour due to construction effective Monday, July 16, 2018

IOWA CITY -- Effective on Monday, July 16, 2018 the inbound and outbound Westport Plaza and the inbound Night and Weekend Oakcrest bus routes will detour due to storm sewer intake and repaving work being done at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Myrtle Avenue. Buses will detour outbound using Madison Street to Prentiss Street to Capitol Street to Benton Street and inbound using Benton Street to Capitol Street to Prentiss Street to Madison Street. The outbound bus stops located at Boyd Law School (stop 8000), Riverside Drive and Myrtle Avenue (stop 8002), Riverside Drive and Riverside Court (stop 8004), and the inbound bus stops located at Riverside Drive and Myrtle Avenue (stop 8003) and University Hydraulics Lab (stop 8001) will not be serviced for the duration of the project.

Inbound traveling customers can use the bus stop located at Riverside Drive and Benton Street (stop 8006) as an alternate. Outbound traveling customers who normally use these bus stops may use the stop located at the UI Main Library (stop 7080) or the stop located at Benton Street and Riverside Drive (stop 8005) as alternates.
