Annual Barn Tour: Western Johnson County

The annual Barn Tour is a half-day event spent touring Johnson County visiting old (and new!) barns. Learn the history of the barns and the farms on which they stand. Transportation is by hired motor coach and a catered lunch is provided. We have fun every year and we hope you’ll come out to join us!

The Annual Barn Tour is the 11th of August from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The motor coach will strive to leave from the JCHS museum (860 Quarry Rd., Coralville) at 8:00 a.m., but will leave no later than 8:30 a.m.

To register for this event, please email admin@johnsoncountyhistory.org or call JCHS at (319) 351-5738. $40 for members; $45 for non-members.

This year’s lunch is provided by Catered by Charlotte. Each attendee will receive a box lunch including a sandwich, two sides, and a random dessert. Please make your choice of sandwich and two sides known when registering for this event. Final food order must be in by August 3rd.

Your choices are:
Five sandwich choices (choose one): Roast Beef, Veggie, Chicken Salad, Ham, or Turkey.

Three side choices (choose two): Fresh Fruit Salad, 3-Cheese Tortellini Salad, or Classic Potato Salad.

This is an annual event organized by the Johnson County Historical Society.
