University Preschool is a private non-profit corporation that was founded in Iowa City in 1947. All parents and guardians of the children enrolled are members of the corporation. We are not affiliated with the University of Iowa and there is no connection to the University required to attend. The preschool is governed by a Board of Directors that is responsible for preschool administration, fiscal matters and operating policies. The Board is comprised of our teachers, as well as parents or guardians who are elected annually. All parents are welcome to attend monthly board meetings.
