Support Police and Fire Charities at the Cedar Rapids Kernels

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – The public is invited to support the Cedar Rapids Police Protective Charity and the Cedar Rapids Firefighters Foundation by attending a Cedar Rapids Kernels game on Thursday, July 20th.    The Kernels are sponsoring “Guns and Hoses Night” and players will be wearing special edition “Guns and Hoses” jerseys.  The game starts at 6:35 p.m. and the gates open at Veterans Memorial Stadium at 5:30 p.m.

The Kernels will be donating proceeds from the jersey auction to both the Police Department and Fire Department charities.  Public safety vehicles will be on display outside the stadium.

Please join us for a night of fun as the Kernels take on the Great Lake Loons and support local police officers and firefighters!

To purchase tickets, please contact the Cedar Rapids Kernels at (319) 896-7560 or www.kernels.com

The “Guns and Hoses” Night is being sponsored by the Cedar Rapids Kernels, Firehouse Subs, and Big Dog Satellite.

NOTE: Please see the attached jersey graphic that the Kernels baseball players will be wearing during the game.  Fans will be able to place bids for the jerseys during the game.
