November 7 City Election, Candidate Forums & Voting Information

Coralville ElectionThe Office of Mayor and three City Council positions are on the ballot for the Coralville city election on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.

Candidates

Mayor John Lundell is running unopposed for re-election (two year term).

Seven candidates are seeking the three At Large seats on the Coralville City Council (four year terms): Elizabeth Dinschel, Meghann Foster, Thomas J. Gill (incumbent), Laurie A. Goodrich (incumbent), Cindy Riley, Miriam Timmer-Hackert, and Imad I. Youssif.

Where to Vote

On November 7, voters must vote at their polling place. Coralville polling places are open from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm on election day.

Early voting at the Johnson County Auditor's Office will be available weekdays beginning Wednesday, October 18 through Monday, November 6, at 913 S. Dubuque Street, Iowa City. The Auditor’s Office will also be open for voting on Sunday, November 5, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Early voting in Coralville will be at the Coralville Public Library, 1401 5th Street, on Sunday, November 5, from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm.

Candidate Forums

The City has been notified of the following candidate forums:

  • Monday, October 16, 6:00-8:00 pm at Coralville City Hall (sponsored by the Iowa City Area Chamber of Commerce)
  • Wednesday, November 1, 6:30-8:00 pm at Coralville Public Library (sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Johnson County)
