FBI discovered Clinton-related emails weeks ago - CNNPolitics.com

(CNN) The FBI stumbled upon a trove of emails from one of Hillary Clinton's top aides weeks ago, law enforcement officials told CNN Sunday.

But FBI Director James Comey didn't disclose the discovery until Friday, raising questions about why the information was kept under wraps and then released only days before the election.
Meanwhile, the Justice Department has obtained a warrant that will allow it to begin searching the computer that is believed to contain thousands of newly found emails of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin, two law enforcement sources confirmed to CNN.

The timeline behind the discovery of the emails came into greater clarity Sunday.
Investigators took possession of multiple computers related to the inquiry of Anthony Weiner in early October, U.S. law enforcement officials said. Weiner is Abedin's estranged husband and is being probed about alleged sexting with a purportedly underage girl.

Iowa is looking like Trump territory, but Clinton has a shot at winning Nebraska’s 2nd District

Iowa has always been tough terrain for Hillary Clinton, and the swing state is proving to be no less difficult in 2016 for the Democratic presidential nominee.

The state that handed Clinton a dismal third-place finish in the 2008 caucuses is one of the few swing states where Republican Donald Trump has consistently led in the polls for the past several months.

The rural state is also one of two battleground states that may return to the Republican fold after two presidential election cycles in the Democratic column.

“Iowa, along with Ohio, may be the best chance Trump has to win in states that Barack Obama carried twice,” said Kyle Kondik, with the University of Virginia Center for Politics.

How Google embarrassed Apple

This week didn't look good for Apple.

Google's new Pixel phone launched to positive reviews, largely because of the phone's new digital helper called Google Assistant.

As I wrote in my review of the new Google Pixel, it’s relatively easy to make a high-end smartphone these days. The real challenge is lighting it up with unique software that helps you do more.

Cubs not dead, planning return trip to Cleveland for Game 6 of World Series

The Cubs, clobbered 7-2 by the Cleveland Indians, now trail 3-1 in the World Series, leaving Cubs’ fans on the brink of uttering that old refrain:

“Wait ‘til Next Year.’’

The Indians, who have turned this postseason into their own pitching showcase, need just one more victory, and for the first time since 1948, they are World Series champions.

One more defeat, the Cubs will go home for the 108th consecutive winter without a World Series trophy.

Hillary Clinton Assails James Comey, Calling Email Decision ‘Deeply Troubling’ - The New York Times

For months, the F.B.I. had investigated whether Mrs. Clinton had broken any laws by using a private email server while she was secretary of state. This past summer, Mr. Comey said that Mrs. Clinton had been “extremely careless” by allowing sensitive information to be discussed outside secure government servers, but that the agency had concluded that Mrs. Clinton had not committed a crime. The investigation was closed.

But on Friday, Mr. Comey notified Congress that the agency had discovered emails, possibly relevant to the investigation, that belonged to Mrs. Clinton’s top aide, Huma Abedin. The emails were discovered on the computer of Ms. Abedin’s estranged husband, Anthony D. Weiner, during a separate investigation into allegations that he had exchanged sexually explicit messages with a teenager.
