Our Commitment to Green Building:

H&H Custom Home Builders have constructed Energy Star Compliant homes since we burst onto the building landscape in 1995 as ‘North Liberty’s Premier Builder’. Since then, Energy Star Guidelines have evolved into what we consider today as the pinnacle of efficiency and we, as builders of ‘green’ homes, have kept pace with those guidelines and have adapted them into each home that we build. H&H Home Builders will build you what is known today as a ‘green’ home, but what has always been lesser known as a ‘sustainable’ home. Sustainable homes are quality built so that they last not just decades, but are built to maintain value, encouraging pride of ownership for generations to come. An H&H ‘green’ Home uses raw materials in a responsible way, using fewer resources, resulting in the use of less energy.

As the standards continue to get tighter, we too will strive to meet and exceed those guidelines; our commitment to you as your builder. We will continue to research and utilize quality building products that are made from recycled and renewable materials. H&H Home Builders offer free consultations and design ideas, various lots to choose from, customization options, and a one year warranty on all new construction. Our homes will always be revered as ‘Quality’ and ‘Valuable’ The choice is yours to make. Let us help you design quality into your next home building experience.

Jake Arrieta's no-hitter continues his transformation into one of baseball's best pitchers - Yahoo Sports

Just Friday afternoon, two days before he'd make his 27th start of the season, Jake Arrieta had mused about the number of no-hitters he'd taken into the late innings the past couple years, none of which had ended in a no-hitter.

"Yeah," he said with a grin, "I'll keep trying for one of those."

On Sunday night, Arrieta no-hit the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.

While this might fold into other stories – the no-hitter was the sixth in the big leagues since June 9, the second against the $300 million Dodgers in nine days, the first for a snake-bitten Chicago Cubs in seven years – there is first Arrieta, the 29-year-old right-hander kicked into a trade two years ago who became an ace.

He won his 17th game Sunday night, by a score of 2-0. He won it the way he wins anymore, with hard, precise fastballs, and with what some consider the best slider in the game, a darting curveball and with a sinker that runs low and hard and in the opposite direction of the slider.

Trial for man accused of killing woman at mall in Coralville to be moved to Story County

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The trial for a man accused of killing a woman earlier this summer at a mall in Coralville has been moved from an eastern Iowa courthouse to one in central Iowa.

The motion to move the trial was filed earlier this month by an attorney for Alexander Kozak. The 22-year-old Kozak has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the June shooting death of 20-year-old Andrea Farrington at Coral Ridge Mall.

Defense attorney Peter Persaud successfully argued that media attention made it too difficult to find an impartial jury in eastern Iowa.

Plenty of nothing is on display for Bears in third exhibition - Chicago Tribune

If the Bears went to Paul Brown Stadium on Saturday night in search of a little self-confidence, they left unfulfilled.

This team is short on talent, and you didn't need to watch the most significant of the four exhibition games to know that. The Bears' drafts from 2009 through 2014 — six drafts totaling 40 selections — produced four of the team's starters in the 21-10 loss to the Bengals.
